Veterans at the St. Louis VCP processed 27 Louisville District collections from Ball State University’s (BSU) Applied Archaeology Laboratories (AAL), including Troyer Site (12WB116). The goal of Troyer Site field school excavation was to locate the site of the Battle of Mississinewa, which was the first American victory in the War of 1812. During the excavation, over 11,000 artifacts were collected and five inches of associated records were created, which were then rehabilitated at the VCP.
